If you are writing a blog but changing priorities every week, use 90 days as a working cycle with a clear starting point, defined deliverables and a scheduled review date. By the end of this article, you will have a 12-week roadmap, six review days, a minimum measurement framework and rules for choosing what to do next.

This does not mean your blog is guaranteed to gain traffic, rankings or revenue. Instead, you will have an auditable record of what you did, what data is available, what remains unknown and three next steps selected for specific reasons.

Identify Your Starting Point Before Creating a Schedule

Do not begin by asking, “How many articles do I have to write?” Record your current status first so the plan reflects your actual time and stage of development.

What to recordCheck questionIllustrative example
Topic and readersWhat will the blog help which group of readers do?Beginners who want to build their own website and develop content.
PlatformIs the blog already on Blogger with a public address, or is it still only a plan?SaibABC Blog is an illustrative project on Blogger; do not assume that it already exists.
Existing contentWhich articles have been published, and which exist only in the plan?“5 Things to Prepare Before Creating a Personal Blog” is fixed sample data.
TimeHow many hours do you actually have available each week?Three hours per week is only an illustration, not a commitment for everyone.
DataHave the measurement tools been connected? How long has the tracking period been?If no data is available, write “none yet” rather than entering invented figures.

If the blog does not yet have a real address, use [địa chỉ Blogspot thực hành] in your notes. Do not treat SaibABC Blog, SaibABC.Com or an illustrative domain name as evidence that the blog has been created, has readers or has data.

Set Controllable Goals

Traffic, rankings, clicks and revenue are influenced by many external factors. During the first 90 days, prioritize tasks you can directly complete:

Chú thích cho quảng cáo
  • Complete a specific group of settings, structural elements or information pages.
  • Publish or update content according to a schedule that fits your actual available time.
  • Review each article using the same checklist.
  • Record data for the same time period and clearly note the review date.
  • Decide whether to improve an older post, write a new one, wait for more data or stop the experiment.

A goal could be written as follows: “This week, I will complete one article answering a specific question, check it on a phone, record its URL and save a change log.” This is a work objective, not a promise that the article will be indexed, achieve a high ranking or generate revenue.

Choose a Minimum Measurement Framework

Install or check a tool only when you know what decision you will use its data to make. For a new blog, the minimum tracking framework includes:

  • Content log: URL, publication or update date, topic, promise, status and next action.
  • Search Console: queries, pages, impressions, clicks, click-through rate (CTR) and average position when data is available. The Performance report can be viewed by query, page, country, device and date range; read the trends rather than treating a single number as a conclusion (according to Google Search Console Help).
  • Google Analytics 4: where users come from, which pages they view and whether they continue to engage. Report names or locations may vary depending on the property configuration (according to support.google.com).
  • Decision table: record which data leads to which action, rather than merely saving screenshots of metrics.

How to check when there is no data yet

  1. Confirm that you are viewing the correct blog and the correct tool property; do not confuse SaibABC Blog with SaibABC.Com.
  2. Open the public URL in a private window or a browser where you are not signed in.
  3. Record the monitoring start date and leave unknown figures blank.
  4. If Analytics is connected, make a test visit and then check the real-time report; this only confirms a basic signal and does not prove that the entire configuration is correct.
  5. Do not draw conclusions from a single day, query or individual visit.
SignalQuestionCautious action
No data yetAre the tools connected correctly? Is the URL public?Check the setup, record the start date and wait longer; do not enter made-up figures.
Impressions but few clicksDo the title and description accurately reflect the question?Review the promise, title and introduction; do not change everything at once.
Clicks but difficulty moving forwardDoes the landing page address the right need and provide a next step?Improve the structure, related links and call to action.
One article shows a positive signalIs this a trend or a short-term fluctuation?Compare performance over time and test a related article with a different purpose.

12-week roadmap

This is an adjustable framework. If you have only a few hours each week, reduce the number of deliverables but keep the sequence: foundation, content, data, then optimization.

WeekWork to doDeliverableMetric or check
1Audit the blog, topics, readers, available time and goals.Starting-point assessment and prioritization.Distinguish what is real, planned and not yet supported by data.
2Review access permissions, public status, menus, information pages and mobile display.Platform checklist.Open the URL from the perspective of someone who is not signed in; check the main links.
3Choose content groups and arrange questions in the order a beginner needs them.A table of topics, questions, outcomes and related articles. Each idea has a distinct purpose.
4Write or complete one foundational article.A draft that has passed the checklist. It includes a promise, conditions, examples and a way to verify the result.
5Write a practical article for a specific task. The article includes inputs, steps, expected results and common errors.Read it as a beginner would; make sure there are no skipped steps.
6Review links, images, headings, URLs and mobile display. An issue log and revision journal.Open each public URL; do not link to destinations that exist only in the plan.
7Set up or check Search Console and Analytics if the technical requirements are met.A record of properties, URLs, connection dates and statuses.Confirm that you have selected the correct blog; do not confuse SaibABC Blog with SaibABC.Com.
8Publish or update content by topic group.A small content cluster with a clear path through it.Check internal links, the menu, and index or hub pages.
9Review the initial data: queries, landing pages, impressions, clicks, and post-visit behavior.A dated data table with notes on limitations.Do not draw conclusions from a single day or an individual query.
10Choose one article to update and one sufficiently distinct question to address in a new article. Two decision worksheets.Record the data behind each choice.
11Update the existing article: fix missing sections, clarify examples, add verification steps, and keep the URL unchanged unless there is a reason to change it.The updated version and a before-and-after change log.Check the article’s promise, links, images, mobile display, and update date.
12Review the content direction, the proposed monetization model, and maintenance requirements.A plan for the next quarter covering what to keep, stop, and test.Distinguish monetization ideas from actual customers or revenue.

Use the Final Six Days for a Review

Twelve weeks equal 84 days; use the remaining six days for a structured review:

DayFocusQuestion to answer
85Inventory deliverablesWhich articles, pages, checklists, and configurations have been completed? Which items are still only planned?
86Review content qualityWhich articles have a clear promise? Which ones lack examples, conditions, or verification steps?
87Review search dataWhich queries and pages stand out? Is the time period long enough for comparison?
88Review reader behaviorWhere do users come from, which page do they enter, and do they continue reading related content?
89Review the monetization modelWhich is more suitable: advertising, affiliate links, services, or digital products? What remains only an assumption?
90Make decisionsWhat are the three priorities for the next cycle, and which activities should stop?

Choose Whether to Update an Existing Article, Write a New One, or Wait for More Data

Choose Whether to Update an Existing Article, Write a New One, or Wait for More Data
  • Update an existing article when it covers the right topic but lacks steps, examples, current information, links, or verification.
  • Write a new article when the question, reader, or intended outcome is clearly different.
  • Wait for more data when the blog has only just begun measuring performance, the data set is too small, or several factors have recently changed.
  • Stop the experiment when it no longer serves the objective or produces information that can guide the next decision.

For the article “5 Things to Prepare Before Creating a Personal Blog,” check whether the promise matches the five items; whether beginners know what to do next; whether examples or fill-in templates are provided; whether the information needs current sources; and whether the links lead to real destinations. This is an illustrative example, not a claim that the article has performance data or needs immediate revision.

Review the Monetization Model

ModelSuitable whenWhat to checkDo not conclude prematurely
AdvertisingThe blog has publicly accessible content, an acceptable reading experience, and you accept dependence on policies and traffic.Account eligibility, policies, ad placement, and the impact on the user experience.Signing up or displaying ads does not necessarily mean that the blog will generate significant revenue.
Affiliate marketingThe article helps readers choose or use a suitable product.Programme terms, disclosure of commercial relationships, and distinctive value.A link does not prove that readers will make a purchase.
ServicesYou have the expertise to solve a problem in greater depth than a single tutorial can.Scope, timeframe, contact method, and responsibilities.A service idea is not a customer or revenue.
Digital productsReaders need a reusable template, checklist, or process.Usage rights, content, support, and delivery method.Having a resource does not guarantee that anyone will buy it.

If you are just starting to consider AdSense, check the official requirements rather than setting your own threshold for the number of posts, word count, or visits. Google identifies requirements related to content, quality, policies, and account eligibility; these requirements may change under current policies (according to support.google.com).

Recognizing when your needs exceed Blogger’s capabilities

Blogger may remain suitable if you mainly publish content, need simple administration, and accept the platform’s limitations. Note any new requirements when you need in-depth customization of data management or workflows, a membership system, e-commerce, complex access controls, server or database control, or integrations beyond your current operating model.

This is a signal to research other options, not a reason to switch immediately. Before deciding, document the required features, operating costs, data-migration risks, backup capabilities, and administration time. This article does not expand into a platform-migration guide.

Back up your blog and keep a change log

Before changing the design, structure, or making a major modification, save a backup and record the date, reason, affected URLs, and result after the change. Blogger separates content backups from theme downloads; the official documentation explains these two tasks in their respective management areas (according to support.google.com).

Ngày thực hiện: [YYYY-MM-DD]
URL hoặc khu vực thay đổi: [điền dữ liệu thật]
Lý do thay đổi: [vấn đề hoặc giả thuyết]

If a change damages the structure, restore the corresponding backup and recheck public URLs, links, images, menus, and mobile display. If you do not have a backup or cannot identify which change caused the problem, stop making further edits and record the current state instead of reconfiguring everything at once.

Exercise: complete the planning table

Copy the table below into a separate document and fill it in with real data:

WeekMain taskDeliverableMetric or checkReview date
1[việc][sản phẩm][cách kiểm tra][ngày]
2[việc][sản phẩm][cách kiểm tra][ngày]
3–12[mỗi tuần một dòng][sản phẩm][chỉ số hoặc kiểm tra][ngày]
  • What is my starting state?
  • What deliverable will I complete this week?
  • Where will I check the result?
  • If there is no data yet, how will I record that?
  • What criteria will I use to decide whether to revise, create something new, wait, or stop?
  • Which task is no longer appropriate and should be stopped?

Next step

If you do not yet have a content plan, complete that section before scheduling weekly writing. You can refer to the plan for the first 20 posts to use its structure for titles, questions, outcomes, and publication order; this is an exercise for the practice blog, not a requirement to write 20 additional posts for the series.

Once you have data, use the Search Console and Analytics review process to decide which posts to revise, which to write, or when to wait for more data. If you want to reconsider your monetization direction, refer to the Blogspot monetization model selection table and replace its examples with your actual situation.

A good 90-day cycle does not end with a claim that the blog has succeeded. It ends with a verifiable record: what you did, what the data shows, what remains unknown, and the three next actions selected for specific reasons.
